For a while there it seemed like at any given company, there were herds of vice presidents of all shapes and sizes: VP of Sales, VP of Marketing, VP of Sales & Marketing.

And as time went on, they got goofier and goofier: VP of Search, VP of Operational Support, VP of Synergies. . .

Then it seemed to shift to Chiefdom, and things got downright weird: Chief Think-Ovation Officer, Chief Caffeine Officer, Double Secret Chief of Wii Bowling. (OK, I made those up.)

So I’ll be the first to say that I have no idea what a Chief Bling Officer actually does, but I’m betting some company somewhere has one.
